The Masked Singer has gained greatest leisure programme on the Bafta TV Awards 2023, beating Ant & Dec’s Saturday Evening Takeaway and Strictly Come Dancing.
Presenter Joel Dommett, who has hosted the ITV present because the first sequence was launched in 2020, was blown away by the victory and admitted that he didn’t see it coming.
Taking to the stage, the comic, who glowed on the crimson carpet alongside his pregnant spouse, mentioned in his speech: ‘I actually didn’t anticipate this, Strictly usually wins all the pieces.
